Application Released Jan 28???

I have a feeling this doesn't mean anything but as I worry and wait I thought I would ask. At the bottom of my sons application when I look at it online he is still listed as a candidate and everything is in order has the nomination etc. at the very bottom it says application released Jan 28. Any idea what this means?
 
software release date

That date applies to the last "update" of the software used to run the web site. It has nothing to do with the applications themselves.
 
My application says that as well.

I'm pretty sure that the date corresponds to the online application page being updated on 28 January 2010. The entire footer reads "USAFA Online Application v1.83a, released 28 Jan 2010." The version number, v1.83a, is evidence that a previous version was "released" before.
