My son is on the waitlist for NAPS. I would have thought he should have heard something by now. He checked with USNA 2 weeks ago. They said he was still on waitlist and he should hear something soon.
Anyone else still waiting to hear?

Our son is still waiting also. We personally know a NAPster who got good news on July 10th last summer, attended NAPS and is now a plebe at USNA. Our son is praying for similar news and just trying to have fun in the meantime while progressing with his backup plan for college. The waiting is challenging, but good things come to those who wait. Best of luck to your son.

We are also waiting. B&G said they will contact the wait list kids between the 5th and 15th. We are hoping the phone will ring soon. All we can do is hang in there.

Best of luck to all of you...I know how tense and nerve racking this time can be...as a NAPS grad ('98) I can say it was well worth it even if it takes you an extra yr to get into USNA.

Quiet here too - nothing in the mail thankfully since we believe good news at this point will come via a phone call first.

Yes, our B&G said they would contact us via phone. I hope we hear prior to the weekend.

Looks like it is going to be next week before we hear anything. Has anyone heard who is on the wait list?

He registered for his classes at college yesterday since that was the day he was assigned for registration. He was hoping he would have heard from NAPS by then but nothing yet. Please stay in touch... Thanks :)

Nothing new today - at least there wasn't a TWE in the mail - breathed a sigh of relief - still praying for the phone call to come.

I hear ya! It's so hard not to think negative thoughts. DS is coping better than me - he finished registering for classes today for his backup college and is just staying focused (but constantly has his phone by his side just in case he gets that phone call). He's getting up at 5am to run, work out etc every day.

Hang in there - praying for all of our sons to get that phone call.

In reviewing my emails with our BG he said the NAPS list would be finalized today. I have a call into our BG to see if he has heard anything. I am getting a sick feeling in my stomach. :unhappy: Has anyone called the academy yet? We just want to know so we can move forward.

Our son hasn't heard anything. No TWE in the mail today either. I only know that our son's BGO told him back in April that he just has to be patient. Praying for that phone call for all of our sons.

I will let you know what the BG says when I hear from him. He was talking with admissions this week and hopefully will have a feel for things.

Yes, thanks for any info you can share. Nothing here either. My son is going to call Regional Director tommorrow when he gets home after he checks the mail to see if he can get any sort of status on things.
Will let you know what he find out then.

Congratulations on Plan B, an NROTC scholarship to USC is wonderful and something to be very proud of. Your child will make a wonderful Naval or Marine Corps officer after their 4 years in the NROTC program at USC. Again, my congratulations on their wonderful accomplishments! :thumb:

TWE came today - disappointed but moving on now - will reapply for next year after a year at GWU. Best of luck to those still waiting to hear.

Same here for ds.. TWE came today. He texted me at work "TWE". My heart sank for him. Called him right away and he was taking it better then I thought. His heart is to be a Marine Corps officer, he got the NROTC scholarship, and is looking forward to taking that route. I am so proud of him. What a little man my 18 yo has become :)
