Sponsor

Our cadet has already sent in his cadet sponsor form requesting a sponsor but did not name anyone. He recently has found that friends of his uncle live in Colorado Springs and want to be his sponsor. Can he send in a revised form requesting this couple to be his sponsor and how do they apply to be a sponsor?

Our son had the same situation - filled out the sponsor form and didn't specify a particular sponsor, then was later was put in touch with a local family who wanted to be his sponsor. That family contacted the Academy, filled out the paperwork to become a sponsor, requested our son as their cadet, and was then approved as his sponsor family. Our son didn't fill out any additional paperwork - it was all handled by the new sponsor family and the Academy.
