I will reserve my opinion on this matter, i was just wondering what you guys think will happen if either the democrats or republicans take or hold congress.

Well, if the Republicans hold Congress, I don't think much will change.

If the Democrats take over, well......... get ready for the freakshow.

If the situation in Iraq improves and the Democrats are in power, they would look stupid if they pulled out.

If the situation in Iraq worsens and the Republicans stay in power, the Republican Congress would force the White House to modify it's plan.

Much to your chagrin, Zap, public opinion will "drive the boat" either way.

I just want us to win. Unlike others, I'm not trying to score political points. My interest is in the country.

I was just commenting on your opinion of public opinion and it's influence on the political process.
I know you want us to win. I do to. I just don't see a Democratic Congress doing that much different, being susceptable to this opinion. Maybe I am naive.

IMO if the demmy's win you might see a little more pressure on the white house but I dont think there will be any major troop withdrawals until the 08' presidential election
