Hello. I've been browsing since March and have made a few posts so it's about time to introduce myself. I have two sons entering the class of 2013. One is planning on AROTC at Texas A & M. The other has an appointment to USMMA and recently found out he was waitlisted at CG. I am so appreciative of finding this forum!

Welcome neighbor! Actually, I'm from PA, but I live only about 40 min from the MD border, so it's almost the same  .

Indeed, congratulations to your sons, and to you! As my ALO reminded me when I received my appointment to the AFA, as much as it is an honor for the appointee, it is even more so an honor for the parents, and a reflection on the upbringing they provided. I'm curious, are your sons twins?

No, They are step brothers. My son commented the other day that since they've lived together for so many years, "it's going to seem weird" to go their different ways. Thanks for the welcome!

Welcome fellow Maryland mom! I am also one (see signature line :-) What a ride this has been so far, right? We are counting down to USNA I-day! Congratulations on your sons' accomplishments! (And yours, I only had to deal with one college applicant this year, kudos to you fellow mom!)
