AFJROTC Distinguished Unit Nomination

Is anyone familiar with the AFJROTC Distinguished Unit Nomination process? Forms, deadlines, etc. Is any action required of the applicant, or is the DU nomination automatic? My son has filled out a form for the Naval academy, but he has been unable to find a similar form for USAFA. Any info would be appreciated.

i was in an Army JROTC honor unit w/ distinction; the nomination automatically showed up for me. no form required.. this was 2 years ago though

Distinguished unit nomination

My daughter's application shows that she received a nomination from a distinguished unit and so does another student's in her unit. It just showed up.
