Summer Seminar

I remember reading somewhere on this thread, a parent posted that an ALO or someone of the sort told her that we should hear of acceptances at least by Mar. 13th, at least of those who applied a little later (after Feb. 10).

But then again there was someone who applied early and made a change in his application pretty recently and was accepted almost instantaneously, like the next day or next two days or something? Congrats to that person, if you're reading this!!

I hope we hear soon, waiting for just SUMMER SEMINAR responses are twisting my insides already.
 
I believe there might be some more to hand out. Acceptances started arriving Feb 1st. There is another thread listed with the people who have already accepted and which week they are attending. There is an ALO who posts every once in a while and he said that all ALO's had to give any remaining recommendations for SS by March 1.
My fingers are crossed for you and all the other who are waiting to hear. Believe me I know who frustrating it can be.
 
I attended a Service Academy Seminar on Sunday, and the ALO that was there said that there are about 50 slots remaining! Who knows!!??

Hi all!

Actually we ALO's were told to have all our last-minute comments, etc., for SS applicants by 3 March if my memory is working. The last date for students to apply was "extended" to the 28th of February.

It is my "guess" that the selections will be completed this month for certain; but how quickly only the folks in USAFA Selections know.

Two years ago my SS acceptance was received on 18 Mar, which as a sidenote also happen to be my birthday.
 
Well, my daughter's birthday is on the 11th, and she would love to get the exact same present as you. . .here's hoping for a miracle:angel:
 
Our son is also waiting to hear. He is still under consideration, and can empathize with how you are feeling! Good-luck to you!!!
 
Our son received his invitation to AFASS early Feb. Last time I looked, there were about 80 spots left each in sessions 1 and 2.
 
We are still waiting also. DS wishes he'd hear one way or the other soon as he's working on lining up his summer job.

I am having a hard time finding the dates of the 2010 summer seminar sessions...can someone who knows the dates let me know. Thanks!!!!
 
Thank-you so much for the dates! Our son is still waiting to hear back from the S.S. He has been accepted to the SLS and will be attending the first session. I am curious if Lee's daughter got her birthday present (on the11th)? Hope so.
 
After that second wave of acceptances, there hasn't been a bunch of people coming on saying "I've got accepted to SS" Have acceptances been going out during the past two weeks or are they going to send out a bunch of acceptance emails on some day. And for those who applied late, like me who applied on the 23rd, is there still hope or have spots filled up?
 
I've heard that there's only 50 or so spots left...but there's always hope!

ONLY 50 or so? So they have been giving out acceptances during the past two weeks...
