I have been hearing some mixed voices on the amount of the NROTC scholarship. I know it covers either tuition or room and board, but is it 180k or 200k? Thank you!
NROTC is full tuition I'm pretty sure. So I guess just take your school's annual tuition and multiply by 4. Could be well over $250k in total at some schools
I think yes you can now choose either tuition or room & board for NROTC to cover.
Interesting. I was wondering since I saw all these numbers floating around but I hadn't actually gotten a number in any official communication so far(unless I skipped over it while re-reading it 15 times..) Thank you
NROTC 4-year scholarship covers your entire tuition OR room & board; the $200k is advertised as the average amount paid to recipients. My payout will be close to $250k over my 4 years. You can choose room & board if you receive great financial aid and find your tuition cost is less than room & board.
One can apply for "outside" scholarships to assist with R&B, and other academic expenses.
Financial aid / Bursar offices may have up to date opportunities, not posted on their websites. Worth a call.
