Does anyone know what your admission status on DoDMERB would say if you got rejected. How about if appointed NAPS/Foundation?

I read on other threads that dobmerb will read "APNAPS" for an appointment to NAPS:thumb:

If someone learns the answer, please post. I think many would like to know!

On my son's page last year, the only thing that changed was the color of writing. Under Agency it went from green to red. The funny thing is, it stayed that way when he started new this year (on Dodmerb). It's red for both USMMA and USNA, and USMMA shows "Offer Extended" and he didn't finish his application.

I know that when you get accepted to NAPS your DoDMERB status will show:
Agency: US Naval Academy SubAgency: APNAP

mine also says offer extended for USMMA but i only submitted the online application.

My son's says "withdrawn". Not sure what it meant, called the academy and they told me everything is moving along. So I'm ignoring DoDmerb.

My son's status to USMA and USAFA say 'withdrawn', but he actually sent letters to withdraw his application to those academies.

Son officially withdrew from USAFA 3 weeks ago via email sent to USAFA contact. DODmerb current USAFA status indicates "in process".

Color changes on the DoDMERB status page another clue??? Oh..soooo much to have the radar on for!! And that DS's has always been red...for months and months and months with the "In Process" as the "sure" life line wording...:frown: oh my goodness

I don't think you can read into the Dodmerb status 100%. If you look at previous years and compare them to this year, it isn't consistent. I think the only reason why my son's status for MMA was and still is showing "offer extended" so early, is due to the swim coach trying to recruit him. But his heart is with USNA.

He still has not heard anything from USNA, and I'm becoming a basket case. Two years in a row of waiting will do that to you. My heart hurts for him everyday that passes. He doesn't talk about it, but I know getting an appointment is the only thing on his mind.

Yes, I know this is so hard. One thing that helped my son (a little) was something I read on the other message board. "Waiting builds character. If you want instant gratification, go to West Point!" I even got a small smile out of him over that!

It is so hard. I just keep telling my son that so many others are in the same spot and that we are all waiting and hoping. Hang in there!

Patience ...by Benjamin Franklin

~ He that can have Patience, can have what he will ~

or as Margaret Thatcher once said...~ I am extraordinarily patient, provided I get my own way in the end. ~

GO NAVY! :tomcat:

My favorite prayer:

God, grant me patience. And give it to me RIGHT NOW!

(Hope that doesn't offend anyone. It's not meant to be offensive.)

My sons page on dodmerbs has always shown red under "Agency" and "Current Medical Status. As far as I know it never was green. Is this red significant? Should we be even more worried then we already are?

I agree with TXUSNA - I dont think DODMERB could be completely accurate with everyone's application due to the fact that there are so many candidates. I think if your status still says "in process" your fine.

My son's has been red from Day 1.
