Another week of checking caller ID and nervously opening mail box! Good thing DD has tests, two games, and spring break prep this week. I have work and "stalking". Good luck to all.

Hang in There!

Are you checking caller ID for a phone call from your MOC? We waited by the mailbox for 2 months before we realized in our state, the MOC would inform us before anything came in the mail. Keep us all posted as to your status! We are rooting for you and have all been there!!!!!

Not all MOCs call. Mine never did . . . of course he'd been unseated in the fall elections.:shake: But the new MOC didn't call either.

Definitely worth checking whatever number you gave to your MOC. They do get one week to make the call before you get the packet -- but not all actually do it.

I'm curious, since my D received her nom from a Senator, if our Congressman's rep will be in the loop on her status. Thoughts?

Just curious, if someone has a Senator nomination and a Congressional nomination...who calls the candidate if they get an appointment?

My guess would be that it depends on the slot they are filling, if appointment is assigned to Senator's quota, then the Senator would call, if assigned to the Representatives quota, then the Congressman would call.
Once upon a time, I had 2 noms, but my appointment was thru my Congressman, so thats who called me.

Yes they know.

The day after DD got "The Call" from Sen #1, Sen #2 's office called to take her off the interview appointment schedule. Then I talked with Rep who said "We heard from Sen #1, congratulations to her from the Congressman."

Yes...osDad..you are right....they DO know and check...my son recieved our Congressional nomination, and one of our Senators nomination, (he interviewed for both Senators) the second Senator sent him a very nicely worded letter stating that they would of loved to of nominated him, but since he recieved Senator A's nom, then they could not, they would not double nominate in order to give more candidates a chance at a nomination...so they already knew my son had 2 noms....

I guess I should have been clearer..I was wondering about "Service Academy Appointment" status, not the interview appointment with the MOC. I wonder if my Congressman will know about it if my Daughter gets Appointed to USNA, or if they will just inform the Senator who actually gave her the nomination.
