My son just receive a letter stating he was accepted to the Summer Seminar wait list.
Does anyone know how often people get picked up off the wait list?

I guess it's better then a rejection. Fingers crossed again.

My daughter also received a NASS Waitlist letter. Like you, her fingers, legs, and arms are crossed. The Naval Academy will not reveal how many are on the waitlist. I've read on other forums the waitlist is regionally based, so those that live farther from the Naval Academy have a better shot of having their status from "wait" to "accepted."

You have a better chance of getting picked up on the NASS Waitlist than on the waitlist for appointments. There tend to be more opportunities for schedule conflicts to arise with NASS sessions than you will will find to be true with an appointment. Also, obviously, the stakes are much higher.
