What does it mean to be qualified academically? I was wondering to see what they look at as qualified academically...

The admissions board looks at your academic transcript - this includes the courses you have taken, the level of those courses, your SAT and ACT scores.
They also look at your extracurricular activities and athletics examining the activities you were involved in, the sports you have played and the level of your competition as well as any leadership positions you have held.

That I know, but what is their vision of academic qualification? Or does only the Admission Board know that?

The best thing for you to do is to arrange a visit and sit with an admissions officer. The officer will sit with you and review your file. He/she will give you an honest assessment of your strengths and weaknesses and how you can improve.

If you do that early in the summer then you will still have plenty of time to work on and improve your file.

This is what DS did. Extremely helpful.

Yep, much more effective than having a whole bunch of people speculating on your *stats*.

I see you are going to SLS? You will have an opportunity there to discuss your file.

Yes, it makes a HUGE impression when your admissions officer looks you in the eye and says, "RAISE YOUR ACT SCORES." It really lights a fire under you!
