Cadet relationship with Enlisted/Officers

What exactly is the cadet relationship between the enlisted corps and the officer corps? I know that cadets are required to salute officers, but how do the treat the junior and senior enlisted (besides respect of course).

Is there any sort of fraternization rule lined out for cadets as well? What about when you do your summer assignment that is meant to simulate being a junior enlisted member?

Respect your coworkers. Cadets cannot have inappropriate relationships with any enlisted. As a 3/c cadet during the summer, you will fill in as a junior enlisted member, although that will not make you "one of them". You will complete the tasks of junior enlisted members. As a 1/c you will fill the role of a junior officer, although remember you are not an officer. That said, you will be a member of the wardroom as much as possible, and will likely have a good relationship with the junior officers (some of them you will remember when they were cadets).

Academy officials will go over the definitions of appropriate and inappropriate relationships with cadets, enlisted, and officers...no need to worry about that now.

I can't really say anything except about the fraternization. When I went on my visit to WP I was told that there is a strong emphasis on not fraternizing. From what I understood, plebles can be with plebes but not with upper classmen or Regular Army, upper classmen can be with upper classmen but not Regular Army or plebes, and Regular Army can be with Regular Army but not with cadets.

I may be wrong though.

I didn't mean dating or anything though, more like friends. What happens if one of your friends from high school is enlisting?

Are there any Petty Officer's at the Academy like there are Sergeant's at West Point?

Each company has a Chief Petty Officer, Senior Chief Petty Officer or Master Chief Petty Officer. There are MANY enlisted members all over the grounds.

They will go over all of these questions with you, in depth, especially prior to summer training.
