OMG!

Wait! I must have been asleep! What the hell?

When I went to sleep last night, the game was in overtime and Pitt had just scored! When I woke up and saw your post, I assumed (oops) the worst, and in my sleep-induced fog didn't read properly.

DAMN! I should have finished watching! DAMN IT, DAMN IT, DAMN IT!

Oh, man! That must have been GREAT! :frown:

LOL I'll hit you then you hit me! I actually fell asleep too! Somebody had to have put something in my drink!! You can bet that the score was the first thing I was looking for this morning. I could just kill myself!

I can't wait til I see the first headlines referencing "Navy's run and gun offense" ] don't care if it is the BS.. I will get it and frame it.

The reason I'm so hyped up over this win was the jubiliation I heard FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS YEAR out of the mouth of my Youngster. At Midnight her time, walking back from Alumni Hall into Mother B - she called to say, breathless and joyful that it was a great game. So for this mom who has been quite aware that since the start of this ac year her Mid was more than 'down' a good deal of the time, adjusting to all the new changes - and outwardly coping well , ( but 'mother's KNOW everything' and I KNEW she was more down than I'd ever heard her ALL last year) Navy's win last night boosted her spirits more than I bet even SHE anticipated! GO NAVY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Navy's win last night boosted her spirits more than I bet even SHE anticipated! GO NAVY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Every Mid down in Bancroft, the tall and the small,
Was smiling and laughing! Without any liberty at all!
He HADN'T stopped their spirit from coming!"

Mids never let down and never gave up.

I did watch until the final, final, final whistle and paid the price today! Unlike Zap's momentary, bleary eyed, missinterpretation of reality, I hit the sack around 0100 an was up at 0445 for work. My stern is dragging!

Listening to Mark May, Lou Holtz and the announcing crew spew total gibberish about the Academy all night almost had me crying! Please, someone, produce a media guide, with lots of pictures, so these guys can talk about a SA without making it sound like a private social club!

Great news Peskemom! I am thrilled the brigade came out on the winning end of a great game. Your girl is gonna be fine, I just know it. How can she not? She has a great family for support and she is a smart one herself.
I hope there is a spring in the step of every mid today!

Go ARMY!!!!! (figure out a way to) Beat NAVY!!!

BTW, could someone......ANYONE..... provide me a GOOD reason as to why the HELL this game was being played so late, and on a WEEKDAY?

Thanks.

Won't work. The usual suspects will simply claim it is propaganda for the masses.

Any particular tidbits you'd like to share?

Subsquid, yet another reason for me to be ever so sad at missing most of last night. Lou Holtz! I just get hysterical listening to that guy. He puts me in stitches over some of the things he says. Or tries too anyway.... :shake:

Awesome news Peskemom!

Money. We are big time now and GC needs the $$. Probably the last one for a while though. I think Fowler sent a loud and clear message to CG that he does not run the Academy. WP has all their games on Sat. We should to.

It was originally scheduled for this Sat. You want big time TV coverage you play when they ask. Who really cares when Army Plays. Maybe not so great for the Mids, although given that they can't go to games anyway what did it matter, at least the Alumni and other supporters could watch in their own homes through out the entire country (you know - Face of the Navy) rather than having to truck down to the local sports bar, if they can even find one that shows Navy.

Stayed awake for the whole thing. Needed pins in the eye to stay awake for the last overtime. Couldn't believe third and two and fourth and two with pass call on each play after great running game by Pitt. I will take a W anyway you want to give it to me. Go Navy!!!!! Beat Army!!!!!!!!!

Can you say San Diego??
