Poor grades 8th semester...

I was appointed to NAPS, and my 8th semester has been by for the most difficult. I am taking Calculus, Chemistry-Honors, Statistics, Political Science and Speech at my local community college.

I currently have a C in chem but after my final it may be a D and stats is up in the air as well.

Would the Academy revoke admissions based on the status of poor grades? Has this happened before?

USNA typically won't revoke an appointment for grades unless they have reason to believe you simply "quit" -- i.e., stop working. That usually is demonstrated by Ds and Fs or a huge drop in your grades (all As to all Ds). If you're working hard and your grades weren't what you'd hoped (which may well happen at USNA), you should be fine.

Has it happened before? Is there a bright line? like if this person gets a D and an F they will automatically drop them...

Here is my interpretation and advice:

The Academy sees something in you that they like very much. Your appointment to NAPS proves this as you beat out several thousand other applicants. That said, you did not get a direct appointment due to academic issues with your grades. The Academy does not want you to fail hence the NAPS appointment. You have 1 year to improve your study habits and pull up your grades in the technical courses like Calculus and Chemistry. What you did in the past does not matter it's how your perform at NAPS that will detirmine if you are granted entry to USNA next year.
