Regarding question 27 c. where is asks if you have used software, hardware etc without authorization where it is specifically prohibited by rules, regulations etc., would the downloading of copywritten music or viewing videos on YouTUBE require a YES answer?

no

Nope. That question pertains to things like using removable hard drives on a closed network where they were forbidden, or (like one of our ******* LTs) downloading Skype onto a deployed network.

Is downloading copy written material, ie: limewire, in violation of the honor code?

.....the downloading of copywritten music....

That would covered by the question "Have you ever stolen anything?"

From the RIAA web site:

When you go online and download songs without permission, you are stealing. The illegal downloading of music is just as wrong as shoplifting from a local convenience store – and the impact on those who create music and bring it to fans is equally devastating.

Yes, piracy of music is a violation of the honor code and can get you in trouble with UCMJ.
