I am just curious and am asking this on the USAFA and USMA site alos:

1. Did you have a preference for which academy prior to going to the summer seminars?

2. Did attending the seminar change your mind?

3. What do you like about the academy you prefer?

1. Did you have a preference for which academy prior to going to the summer seminars?

I was all about Navy and going Marines

2. Did attending the seminar change your mind?

Absolutely, I never gave USMA a chance until SLS and it opened my eyes to the possibilities and opportunities available thru the Army.

3. What do you like about the academy you prefer?

Army - Camaraderie, team skills, challenge every day, produces leaders excellent character, beautiful campus
Navy - Physically challenging, produces warriors, beautiful campus,

Air Force Academy - Secluded. 7 miles to the front gate. Another 7 miles to town. Plus, in the Air Force, if you're not a pilot, you're a "second rate citizen." Oh sure, they'll deny it. But it's true.

I wanted to go to the Air Force Academy.

Summer Seminar changed my mind, and I had no interest in wanting to be a pilot.

I don't regret it, but USAFA IS easier living after the first year. I would argue their first year is worse than ours but ends earlier in March... and my plebe year really sucked, but its getting easier.

Usafa = easy living, harder academics, snowboarding!, but you have to be in the air force and be stationed crappy places.

Usna = better food, better location minus the skiing, better bases, more commissioning options, annapolis.
And I got the opportunity to be one of the first women on subs so I don't regret it.
