Spondylolysis

My son had it 4 years ago, and his DODmerb status says "qualified" ( Not even a mention of a waiver) We did have remedials and had the Doctor write a letter stating he is healed and no restricitions....I also think it depends on the severity. Hope that helps. Keep a positive outlook!

Did your son have any Spondylolisthesis, or slipping? I was told that I had a level 1 out of 4, which is anywhere from 1-25%

Yes, but it was less than 10% and barely noticible on an xray. I am not even sure this was on any of his medical records just a mention of it to me. I will tell you when he had to send his medical records I asked his Dr. to write a letter stating NO LIMITATIONS on any activities. The word Spondylolysis was all over his records. My son also wrote his own personal statement as to what activities he's been involved in and how physically fitness is a way of life for him. Hope that helps, feel free to message me if you want more details of his case.

That is all I'm looking for now, but I will add this to my favorites because I might have questions later when I start the application process.

Thank you for the help and information.

If anyone else had Spondylolysis it would be great to hear from you too.
