Did anyone else get their DoDMERB results in?
--Am I supposed to send something in to admissions?

Yep. I was qualified two weeks ago. You don't have to send anything in.

After DoDMERB declares you "qualified" they notify West Point. You do not need to take any action.

I took my exam on the 12th but I still probably have another week or so before I see my results.

I took mine on the 2nd and found out i was qualified on the 9th by mail and a day earlier by email. You should hear soon since the system isn't overcrowded yet.

I finally got mine this afternoon --Qualified:)

Thanks everyone for the input!

Congrats! All the inputs were correct:thumb:

Thank You! But I was wondering, do a large number of people get disqualified in this process?

Hopefully I'll find out Monday cause I doubt they review exams during the weekend.

I believe that a large number are disqualified at first.

Not really. I was expecting to need waivers for my terrible vision and allergies to certain drugs, but there wasn't a single problem

I see. I was just making an assumption. I always thought the DoDMERB was strict.

Can't wait until I get to start applying, that way I can add important things to discussions. :thumb:

I know a guy who was disqualified for being allergic to kiwis (he got a waiver though!). I think that counts as DODMERB being pretty strict :shake:

How long does it take to get a waiver? I'm worried that my upper respitory infection I had when I was six and the migrains I had at the beginning of high school will disqualify me. So far though, I have absoutely nothing wrong with me except for my lousy eyesight.

How "lousy" is it? If you're near-sighted and it's -8.00 or below, then you will receive a disqualification. If you're far-sighted and it's +8.00 or higher, you will also receive a disqualification. Also, if you're color-blind and applying to West Point, it doesn't matter, as long as you're able to tell the difference between vivid red and vivid green.

I'm not really sure what your point is Peter, but the standards for the US Army (WP and AROTC) is: Refractive error = Worse than -8.00 or +8.00 sph equivalent and regarding color vision, an applicant must be able to distinguish vivid red/green.

An applicant that does NOT meet one or both of these will be determined by DoDMERB to NOT meet standards. WP, may consider these for a waiver on a case-by-case basis.:thumb:
