Just wondering from those that have been there or parents who's Midshipmen have told them, what do they do when they go into their dorms at 8 p.m. until lights are out at 10 p.m.?
I saw photos from last year where they were crawling on the floor.
Just wondering what they are doing for 2 hours.

Thanks,

Lots and lots of cleaning for one!

shower, shave, SDI time, mail, clean, free time. SDI time is where the platoon spends about 20 minutes with the senior drill instructor to 'talk about the days events'. the SDI is more open and relaxed with the candidates. this is also when the kids can open up packages and usually have whatever's in them.

Strange, I was told by another mom that our platoon could only read their letters when lights were out yet if they have free time, what do they do during that time? Also, others have said that their Candidate wrote their letters with lights out and under the covers in bed.

I believe the experience varies from Company to Company - each with its own set of internal rules.
