On the Candidates Academics page on the CIS form, it asks for a High School official from your junior of senior year to give the information. Should this be a teacher, principal or guidance counselor?

Thank you usna1985-

That is what I thought too...The guidance counselor is already used in the Candidate record so I was just making sure.

Thank you again.

Hi NJ baseball......I live in Alabama and my son just got in the Academy is doing Plebe Summer now. I would be glad to give you an advise, or answer any questions you might have.....I am curious by your name, are you or your son a baseball player from North Jackson by any chance? My son played high school baseball for Guntersville.

behrsmom- YES!!! I am from North Jackson. My son is applying for the Naval academy 2015. Is it not a small world? I guess our boys would have played baseball against each other.

If you don't care, I will PM you tomarrow. Looking forward to hear how your son and you are doing.

Have a blessed evening,

I believe that most use guidance counselors.

DS is reapplying for Class of 2015. Do we submit the HS counselor's name or the college counselor? The Candidate Academic page reads:

"Please enter the Last Name, First Name, and Email Address of the High School Official from your Senior or Junior year for whom you want to fill out the USNA Candidate Academic Information Application on your behalf.

The designated High School Official will be sent an email message indicating your request and information pertaining to submitting this application to the United States Naval Academy."

It does ask for the HS official but wasn't sure if there were different instructions for college applicants. I know that they request the math and english college instructors to submit their recommendations.

I would contact your admissions couselor to make sure you get the right one. That is an important question, so you don't want to make a guess. One thing about the application process is the attention to detail. If you do not get an answer from admissions, leave a message or send an email. They will get back with you.

Good luck!

Ryan has not been assigned a admissions counselor, unless he missed that somewhere. Are you talking about the Reginal Director on the CIS page?

Once you are deemed an "official candidate" you will receive a letter from the admissions department with your admissions person you are assigned to. If you have not yet received that, call the main phone number and ask for someone in admissions. I would ask them, just to make sure you are following proper procedure.

Good luck!
