My DS has his laptop and has spoken to us through Facebook. Hope your DS/DD has theirs or gets theirs soon. I tell you, once he got on, all of his friends seem to bombard him at once, so it was just a matter of waiting my turn in the conversation.
 
Ha ha shutterbugc....I just posted a thread asking if the rumor was true. I know they have been in the library, but wanted to be sure. Let's do the happy dance for the lines of communication are now open! :wiggle:
 
haven't tried to email since it was suggested not to give it out to anyone because their box would be full of KP "Must Read" emails. I am leaving that free for him and KP. Still sending letters and talking on facebook.
 
some of the P/Cs are having the usual software problems with the computers. basically, its caused by all ~350 of them trying to get registered at the same time, or somehow messing up the quite complicated setup proceedure. i know 2 of out of the 3 P/Cs in my team do not have working computers yet. the problems should be sloved fairly soon, either as the traffic decreases or they get the computers back down to DoIT, where the fix is usually pretty simple for the professionals.

Does anyone know if all plebes received their laptops?

I very rarely use the KP e-mail to send our DS messages. Most of the time I use Facebook.
