I'll miss you by a couple days, Scout. Will be there for March Back and then later in the week for A Day. Looking forward to it all.

As an aside, my son is in Bravo and was one of the fortunate few to take a spin in one of the visiting Opreys this past weekend. He said they were teased earlier in the week that they might get a surprise on Saturday, and when the CO got them together he told them he had a clue for their surprise. He showed them a video clip of the Osprey. Evidently, a tired (or sarcastic) NC looked at the video and said: "What, we've been traded to the Marines?"

Still, a cool opportunity. My only question for him was, do Ospreys drip Cherry Juice all over its 'passengers' like the Chinooks did/do?

Not unless he/she is at the Thayer for a scotch!

In all seriousness, I doubt he/she will. I think it would be improper for me to use my rank/access to have contact with the NCs. This is the time for their cadre to help them finish strong. I won't interfere with that.

As for the Osprey, CPT Claw, I don't know because I won't go near one of those switchblade deathtraps. If the intelligence barometer for flying those suckers is the USMC and AFSOC, I want nothing to do with it!

As for the cherry juice...they probably never told you that that's the single most toxic substance in aviation.
