I'm going to visit a friend at Georgetown during my fall break and I'll be flying into BWI. But I wanted to stop at the Naval Academy first and see my good friend who is a plebe now. Is there any other way to get to USNA from BWI other than a taxi or shuttle? I've been researching on the internet and have only found those two options but I was wondering if anyone knew another way to get there that's a little less expensive. And unfortunately I'm not old enough to rent a car.

There's always the Super Shuttle.

But you better first make sure that your "good friend who is a plebe" will be able to see you.

You see, "plebe" is derived from the word "plebeian" which is in reference to the "common people" in Roman days. Commonly speaking, plebes don't have many visitors.

Don't worry-- definitely know that she can only get out on Saturday after 12. Was only hoping for lunch, not club hopping :shake:

One of the highlights of my now 2LT was Plebe fall when two HS friends came to visit him for a Sat afternoon and evening. They don't get many visitors so when they have the chance it means a lot.

It is best if you plan this on a non football weekend.

Listen to Profmom. On home football game weekends, Plebe town liberty doesn't start until the end of the game.

And the games start much later than they used to. I think it's a TV thing. In my day, after the football game, the sun would still be shining and we had time for a little daylight town liberty.

The games started much earlier. Immediately after noon meal we were marching over to the stadium.

[Oh, by the way, we had classes on Saturday morning. Now they have this thing called SMT (Saturday Morning Training).]
