Just wondering if anyone else has a child who hasn't been able to call for the last three Sundays...It's a bummer but I'm okay I just wonder if anyone is in the same boat of if GF is manipulating situation

That Stinks

I'm sorry. DS, who is in 2nd Company has been given his phone on Sunday morning for the last 3 weeks and been allowed to call when he wants and talk as long as he wants until he turns the phone back in, which is usually 6pm. Last week he kept it until 10pm because he was off campus sailing.

What company is your DS in?

Ditto what KingsPtDad said for our DS in BandCo. Last week, while talking to DS, we watched on the Barney Square (muster) cam as DS pointed out that what we at home are seeing is all the PCs that were in front of the barracks talking on their cell phones. He said they are required to stand at attention while on the call. That would tend to limit their calls...

When you do hear from DS, I hope you find that he has been on some great offshore TM, or something of the sort. Hang in there...

Thanks for your sentaments....He is just at school getting ready for the plebe knowledge test

It's not uncommon for PC's not to be able to use their phones, for many reasons. Then you have companies like 2 Co this year that lets their PCs hold onto the phones. Parents, it's just whose in charge of the company and how things have gone. Good practice for sea year. Hang in there. I remember how it felt. We rarely got phone calls and even after Recognition when they HAD their phones, we rarely got any. But the nice thing was we could call and leave a message for ds to call.....our at least to listen to his voice on the answering machine:shake:

4th Co Plebe Candidates lost their phone privileges because one (actually, a few of them) pulled a few boneheaded maneuvers.

definition of "bonehead" maneuvers. Pranks that did not work or just can't follow directions or just messed up or what. Just curious.

ALTMFC: I think you forgot to properly end the sentence/complete the thought:

"Fourth company Plebe Candidates lost their phone privileges because one (actually, a few of them) pulled a few boneheaded maneuvers, and one of their Midshipmen Officers (actually, a few of them) want to see if they can lead through stupidity and make sure the plebe class as well as any of their classmates who aren't "reg...ks" realize what schmucks they really are."

At least that's how I finished the sentence in the parlor game we played last night.
