What a great weekend. My wife and I got home late last night after visiting our son since last Thursday. It was great to see him and see how much he is enjoying attending such a great school. The classes were fun, and thank God the teachers did not get too technical. The Academy is an awesome place, his Squadron had a great tailgate on Saturday. It was a real pleasure to meet the people in my son's squadron.
I enjoyed lunch with the Carteefarm family on Friday in Mitchell Hall. The food was fine, the company was great.
It was really nice to bump into that very nice family from Atlanta (I know your names but I don't want to post it without your permission) that I met on I-Day. You have a terrific daughter, my son had so many nice things to say about her. You should be very proud.
I wanted to make Thudgate, but was running a little late. Next time! The game was very competitive for a half, then the Falcons ran away with it.
My wife bought out the Visitor Center store, j/k, but I do have some very nice shirts to add to my collection. My other children loved the Squadron attire we brought home for them.
We stayed at the Hampton Inn between the South and North Gates at Exit 153 on I-25. It was a great place to stay. The people were very accomodating and friendly. Next year we are planning on renting an RV bringing the other 5 kids and making a two week vacation out of it.
Overall it was a great visit that reaffirmed in my mind that my son picked the right place for him.
I could go on and on......

I can't agree more. The Air Force Academy is an awesome place. Your son is one of the best and brightest this country has. He made a choice to defend freedom, which very noble to do. Tell him thanks for his service to our great country.

God Bless him,

RGK

Thank you very much. All those kids are special.

You should try Culver's next time you're there, if you don't have it where you're from. Great custard.

Sounds awesome, hopefully I'll get to go there in a couple years and have my parents visit. Glad to hear he likes it. I saw some people (who knows if they actually go/went as it was on the internet) that they hated it? I don't see how you could of course it'll be hard but it looks awesome and like alot of fun. (sorry for being off-topic a bit)
