Great day at Falcon Stadium today. Wonderful job, Falcons, with your 35 - 14 win over BYU!

win

because of the victory, we go a discretionary pass for the night!

Great Win

Watched the game on TV in Sacramento....wish Versus showed more of the pagentry. (Afterall, it's COLLEGE football, pagentry is part of the game...a big part of the game...so why do we need to listen to three analysts talk about the first half at half time? We want to see the cadets, band, and everything else that separates pro from college football.) However, the four of us did a toast to the host with some Jeremiah Weed....a tradition has started out here! Congratulations USAFA, great job. Now rest up and then get ready to kick the Sooners a#$#!

I agree, MikeandChris, I watch the game in hopes of seeing my cadet march with the Drum and Bugle Corps! Half time events are a part of the whole experience!

I never seem to be able to find Air Force, Navy, or Army games on TV! I also watch minimal amounts of TV so I probably just look at the wrong times.

What channel are they generally on?

I found the game this past Saturday on VERSUS which is on Direct TV. It was Channel 604 or there abouts. Wonder if they will carry future games there? Maybe we could all help each other by locating where the game can be found and posting it here Friday of each week. Different providers will have it in different locations.

Next week is OU. Good luck, you guys. Great job against BYU!

Maybe there is a way to watch through the internet? I’ll look for a little, and if I find anything I will tell you guys!

I’ll also see if I can find a site where it says what channel it will be on.

Does that mean 4 deg's do not have to run everywhere? What other benefits?

John

My son got his phone (which they were told they wouldn't have) and was able to go to his sponsor's for the afternoon today (they had been told they were restricted and no one could go anywhere today). Plus they now don't have a WAMI (inspection) on Wednesday, plus no class (which was planned beforehand) so it sounds like it's pretty much a free day. And he got the discretionary pass last night and went and saw a movie (I'm pretty sure on base somewhere).

Yuppers. No running the strips (actually don't even have to be ON the strips), no greeting, going to Mitch's in PC gear. Almost upper-status.

On the WAMI, we got the MFR for Wednesday and it still has the schedule (3rd and 4th group from 8AM-10AM). Not sure what's up with that...

I wouldn't get too excited though; it's still a Comm Day, so there is discretionary squadron PT:mad:

benefits of being at rest

dont have to run, allowed to talk, dont have to walk on strips/right side of the hallway, dont have to greet upperclassmen with our squadron phrase. These may not seem like huge things, but they are much better than one may think.

I can imagine, taking a break from those little things seems great from time to time!

WAMI is canceled for october 5th, not this week's one. Still an awesome weekend!

Yeah, just got the e-mail on that.

Oh well, my bed needs to be made anyways (remaining positive).

Thanks everyone for the answer...

And yes those are some wonderful things that most would take for granted. Good for the Class of 2014.

If they beat Oklahoma i think that will signal the beggining of the apocolypse. I hope they at least do better than FSu did last weekend. Go Falcons!
