on the citadel application, what do they mean by references on page 2?

References are typically people who know you but are not related to you, and who can verify you are who you claim. One usually picks references who will say positive things about them should they be contacted - for example Employers, Teachers, Coaches, Scout leaders, long time neighbors etc... I doubt that for this purpose they will contact your references, but at a later date for employment purposes or security clearances- they probably will do so.

oh, i thought the references were for letters of recommendations. because i heard you can send in letters of recommendations if you wanted to. thanks for clearing that up. i have another question. when they tell you to fill out the counselor forms, do you send those in with the transcripts? or is there another procedure for that. (i am applying online)
