Army-Temple game...why do you always fall apart in the 2nd half, my dear Army team?! :frown:

So rough..... I drove five hours for THAT? Its like Army football self-destructs once they start to think they can relax or that they might actually be good. Which they could be if they could only hold it together for 4 quarters, not just 2 or 3!

Army appears to be a better team this year than last and I think will give Navy a real run for its money. Let's face it, all of the SAs are most competitive in the bottom 1/3 of Div I (or FBS as they call it these days). The heydays of Heismans and Cotton and Orange Bowls and national championships are long gone, never to be resurrected. And that's ok.

Enjoy the fact that our SA teams are playing schedules with games that are (generally) competitive and fun to watch. With luck, your/my team will get to a (low tier) bowl game and, with some great play and a little luck, will win the C-in-C's trophy. And that each player who graduates is intelligent, well educated, a leader, and (with probably a few exceptions), a great human being.

Ummmmm; Air Force is Ranked #25 in the AP and #27 in the coaches. We've only had 5 losing seasons in the last 30 years. We rank in the top 2-4 in our conference on a regular basis. And to be honest, I don't believe that we are only competitive with the #80-#120 teams. Maybe Army, but not Air Force.

Anyway: Back to a regularly scheduled program........ Beeeeeeeeeeeeeep

Air Force is pretty high up in the rankings so far this year. See if they can keep it up.

Back on topic......
Temple has a good team. They have been up and coming for a couple of years now and they nearly knocked off Penn State this year.
The loss was a tough on for sure but Army is coming along.

I agree (but a lot of my friends go to temple, so I really wanted Army to win...). My brother goes to PSU; the PSU-Temple game was a good game.

Just give them a chance, Ellerson the right guy for this job. I think they are on the verge of being a team, but it comes in time. Remember, Ellerson did not recruit some of these guys to play.

Hang in there,

RGK

Hey, I'm not complaining. The fact that the Temple game was so close is a testament to how far Army football has come.

So...do plebes really graduate early if we beat Navy? Any older grads comment on this?
