thank you.

I think a parallel can be drawn to the application process for colleges. Each college has put in print the date (or approx. date) they will let applicants know of their decision. For many colleges, that date is April 1. For many colleges, the Early Action date is also published, and depending on college is Dec. 15 (most), Jan. 1 or Jan 15.

If Navy ROTC Scholarship applicants knew the dates the Board meets, and the approx time from Board meeting until notification, some of the anxiety would be relieved. e.g. "Board meets Sept. 24-27 and scholarship recipients will see a status change on the application website approx two weeks later, followed by a US Mail notification". For example, when Sept. 15 rolled around this year and nobody posted anywhere that had been selected, applicants may have assumed that the Board met, and that they were not awarded.

Excellent point dunninla!

Ms Parker: Why are you unwilling to respond publicly about issues of interest to ALL NROTC applicants and which under no circumstances could the answers be considered secret? Your lack of response and or "canned' responses are puzzling.

Good Morning,

These forums are not checked regularly by staff, if they are even checked at all. I only responded to some of the threads after receiving an email in regards to them.

If you want questions answered right away with accurate information, please send an email to the above.

Clearly you have checked several threads in this forum during the last few days. How about responding to the questions that you have read?
I have sent you an email with links to these threads for your convenience. If you choose to only reply by email I'll be sure to pass on your information (reply) to this board so that all can benefit from your insight. Thank you.:thumb:

Ms. Parker,

Like AROTC, does NROTC release an (tentative) official schedule of future board selections?

Thanks

Wow...not sure that makes any sense. Navy can't share the date they hold the board? What would be confidential about that?

Good luck to all you Navy applicants!

Just so we understand...what type of questions about the "Naval ROTC Scholarship Process" can we expect to get answers to if even the date the boards meet is considered "confidential"?
