In an exciting and fast first race for SummerWind took first place in the 2010 Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race, beating formidable competition such as the Pride of Baltimore II and the Privateer Lynx. SummerWind is the first entry into the race of a Maritime Academy, and it sure went far to show how the skills of our sailors stack up!

We had no idea Summerwind was racing in the Great Schooner race, I am embarrassed to say...
And we were at the destination port for the race and aboard the Lynx as part of a PR event. We were chatting with the Lynx Captain and my husband mentioned DS attended KP. His response was, "its better not to mention Kings Point around here right now or on the Pride of Baltimore either. They just beat the heck out of us."
Proud moment!!!!! GO SUMMERWIND!!:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::beer1::beer1:

Keep an eye on the waterfront blog and waterfront Facebook page and you will always know where to find us- we cover a lot of ground (water?) and our fleet really gets around!
