Anyone here going to the game in NY?

After Army's tough loss to Rutgers, I think AF will have easy pickin's!

After air force has had so many injuries to their starting lineup, and is playing with a lot of 2 and 3 deep players, I'm not so sure. 2nd half of the season has been killing us.

Unfortunately, I can't make it to the game. But my son and a few of his friends are flying in from the academy to watch it. They were able to get flights from Denver to the local airport near West Point for $215 round trip.

GO AIR FORCE!!!

Love you brother. You know the retirement checks is nice, but not that nice. :thumb: Yes, if I had scheduled this a couple months ago, I probably could have done it. But being from New Jersey, there's no way I can get to West Point without going to see the family. That turns a weekend trip into a week long trip. Just not able to do that. But I am sending Jeremy there to "Represent". He and the boys will definitely be cheering on "Da Birds". "Yo, Falcons.... Beat dem there bum Knights." "Yo, it's a Jersey thing".

Did you happen to notice AF's tough loss to TCU this weekend?

Or, if by tough loss, you mean one that they should/could have won, what about the loss to San Diego State the previous weekend?

I was at TCU this weekend and it wasn't pretty. Looking ahead to Utah this week, I'm more than a bit concerned that AF may be coming into the Army game after 3 straight losses. May possibly work to fire them up with Army being a "must win" game, but I guess we'll see!

My son has the same attitude about Army ("oh, we always beat them"). Well, that's what Navy said about AF going in this year as well. Think they really need to take Army seriously because I believe this game could go either way. :thumb:

I think Utah is ranked in the top 10. Air Force will definitely have their hands full this week. If healthy, I don't think Army will present a problem. With the injuries, it could be a toss up. If we all knew the outcomes to all the games, then why play them. It should be fun. If my younger son has an early game that day, I think I will drive up. Forget that, he plays later.
