Enjoy your time at home as a civilian.

Trust me, you'll miss it.

Totally, be excited for your time here, but don't start counting the days yet, start counting the days until recognition. You will miss everything that you take for granted now. Keep up the good work and bring it strong 2015.

Later,

Brian

I'm totally excited for your time here and I'm counting down the days mwahaha...and yes, you're gonna miss everything about home.

Wow, I can't believe it is that time of the year again. I can remember just about a year ago getting my LOA and being so excited about it. Well, be excited! You have every right; you earned something very rare.

What I do want to add, though, is that you shouldn't start counting down the days. Actually, NEVER do that. Enjoy your time as a civilian while you still can. You will realize soon enough how many things you take for granted every day. That being said, don't do anything stupid either, something that may disqualify you.

All I know is it is so nice seeing the number 2015; it means us 2014ers are that much closer to Recognition.

Honestly though, I can't wait for "2014, fall out and make corrections".

That will be a good day.:thumb:

My son very much enjoyed being cadre last summer... you should hear him growl "Four Degree!"

Get out the bubble wrap and keep your grades up!

Congrats!

I said this before but one of my sons got his LOA on his birthday - now already three years ago!!! Can you (old timers!) believe that? The rascals turned 21 yesterday!

I got mine on Oct. 19! I'm super excited, and am just waiting for a nomination. :D I realize it'll be awful the first year, and I also know I won't be as prepared as I think I am. But still, I can't wait!

HI!

Congratulations!!!

Just one thing...it won't "...be awful..."

It will be challenging, scary, fun, exciting, painful, exhilarating, frightening...

And something you'll cherish forever! :thumb:

I received my LOA on the 25th. -still hadn't gotten over that the next day when the senator's office called to tell me that I'm receiving his nomination! It's a lot to take in, and I'm really excited. I know it will be tough, but I can't wait to get there.

I got my LOA last week and was VERY surprised to say the least; I didn't even know USAFA gave out LOAs. Then two days later, I got a nomination, so I was even more excited. Hopefully an appointment comes next:smile:

I was cadre last summer and really enjoyed it. I am considering being 2nd beast cadre for all you 2015ers. Like everyone else said, enjoy your time at home. I am junior now and I really do love it here, but I definitely miss home.

I see some of you are candidates at USAFA, USNA, USMA... have you made up your minds to go to USAFA?

Aglages' son received a USAFA LOA today. The letter was dated 01 Dec 2010. Son received nom this past Tuesday - dated 24 Nov 2010.
There is much excitement and anticipation in my family.:thumb:

CONGRATULATION!!!!:thumb:

DS just received the official NOM letter in the mail today, got it after he got home from taking the SAT again, so we're feeling pretty good. Interesting letter that came with the NOM explaining the process. From the letter it stated that if you have received an LOA you were placed lower on the slate since you were already accepted "conditionally" to the academy. This is done so that another candidate can then be placed in the principal NOM position and be credited against the MOC. So it is possible for more than one candidate on the MOC's slate to be accepted into the same academy at the same time. Just found that interesting as I have not read that hear before.

Again CONGATULATIONS:thumb:

Was it from a PA senator or your Representative?
