AROTC October Board

Any idea when awardees from the October Board will be notified?
 
Last year, it was 3-4 weeks after the board met. However, there are less boards this year, which means that the time tables could be different for notifying winners.
 
Josh, with regards to last year, was it 3-4 weeks for an offical scholarship offer to arrive via snail mail, or 3-4 weeks until your status changed online?

(I know it seems nitpicky but the wait is killing me)

1st Board last year met Oct 5-9. Snail Mail was dated Nov 5th. DD received the notification Nov 10th. Update online at GoArmy occurred about Nov 5th too.

Sounds like, if it is anything like last year, notification will come around Thanksgiving for those who were selected on the first board.
 
I predict as soon as offers start popping up in the system you will start receiving phone calls and emails from enrollment officers. Still nothing in the system, so hang in there...do some pushups and go for a long run!
 
I don't have the exact dates, but I definitely had the website change to DODMERB before I got a letter. Although it didn't change to the list of schools till after the letter arrived.

Will AROTC scholarship applicants see their status change on the DodMERB website before it changes on the AROTC website? DS was thinking of applying West Point before he changed his mind and focused on AROTC at a civilian college, so he got the DoDMERB clearance early. Now I am just trying to figure out where to look.

Last year the first indication of an AROTC scholarship was a change in the applicants DoDMERB status. That is where I'd look.

Actually, the change was on the scholarship status page. It said you could check your Dodmerb status.

My son had his Dodmerb clearance early due to his application to West Point, but the status still changed first on the scholarship status page. There was a few days lag until it showed up on his Dodmerb page.
 
I can't believe I still have two (or more) weeks to wait, the suspense is killing me. *screams in anguish* :mad:
 
For all of those waiting for news, try to take a step back.
I know exactly how you are feeling. You want to know.
I'd suggest that you only check this site and the scholarship site once a day. It will make sure that you are not obsessively checking them out. I know for parents or students who are home ALOT(me) it is a huge temptation, but just try to realize that it just takes time now. For some of you, you might have to wait for a while. Even after getting a scholarship, there is more waiting for DODMERB.
