So, I've had a Letter of Assurance since early October. The only thing I was missing was my nomination. Well, I had my interviews last weekend, and I was just told Senator Isakson (GA) was going to nominate me. Should I be on the lookout for an appointment? I was "virtually guarenteed" one according to the letter. Also, how long does it take USAFA to get notification of the nomination? I'm practically bouncing with anticipation. Thanks!

Congratulations! Out of curiosity were you told verbally or by letter that you were getting a nomination?

Our MOC said that the nom would go in early December and since we had an LOA we should see the appointment mid-January.

Thanks! First the staffer in charge of it called me, but I wasn't home and my parents were vague about what she wanted. So I emailed her, and she said congrats on your nomination and to expect a formal letter soon.

Yup congrats. You'll be getting your appointment very soon.

If you have already talked with Sen Isakson's office and accepted the nom you should be getting a letter shortly. I'm aware of two from the USMA board that have already received their letters. :thumb:
