My AROTC Application Status Just Changed :)

I got on the Scholarship Application Status this morning thinking that it would be unlikely for the statuses to change overnight when I was surprised to see that it had changed to:

"You may check your medical qualification status by visiting the Department of Defense Medical Examination Review Board DoDMERB WebSite"

I'm excited because from what I heard that pretty much means you received a scholarship. Is this something that I can assume from this message?

And a note to all other AROTC scholarship hopefulls, check your status! It just may have changed.
 
Congratulations!

That was the change that everyone first saw last year that received a scholarship.
They may just be starting to load them into the systems. It willbe a few days before you will be able to see the list of schools and receive the letter in the mail. You can always call your top schools if you've been chatting with them and see if they can see the results. I know my son's was able to before we could.
 
Congratulations! From ClarksonArmy's post it is confirmed that offers are starting to come out. Good luck to everyone waiting for this Board's results.

Does anyone know if they all change at once or if it will take a few days to get them all in?
 
Just called my top school. I was offered a schship there. And to two other schools. Call your roo. See what news you have!!

It's a wonderful thing and I can only hope that your children end up as happy as mine is in ROTC in college. He LOVES it!
 
And what if your status has not changed??
Are you denied this Board? When is the date that everything is out?
We are sweating it here - no one is happy at the moment this household!
Also, if you do not get an offer this Board, do they tell you that and encourage you to wait for the results of the January Board??

If this board is like previous years, the strongest candidates go first.
Relax, be patient, unless you have a great ACT/GPA this is probably not the board for you.
A lot of these first board offers are waiting to see if they made West Point...They are waiting also.


HINT: It would be informative if those with offers posted their ACT/GPA and first letter of last name, in case its being uploaded alphabetically...

(We are waiting as well)

My son's status has also changed!:eek:This is nervewracking! Our last name begins with "O".
 
Status Change - last name "M"

Suffered through all morning reading everyone's great news and prepared ourselves for January Board. Now status has changed - perhaps is WAS done alphabetically??
Did contact his first choice school and was told that they had 'nothing yet' and also that the school was told not to expect many scholarships from this particular Board...
HANG IN THERE everyone still waiting - the site is now down and as I mentioned, last name begins with M. LOTS of letters after M!
 
Sons status changed as well :thumb:
I am very surprised - 27 ACT and 3.2 GPA - last name starts with 'V'
We were expecting to wait for the 3rd board

(changed in last hour or so)
 
Has anyone seen a change on DODMERB page? My son is already medically qualified for USNA, USMA and USAFA.
 
Last Name begins with P, my Gpa is 3.49 and my ACT Composite is 34, still no change :frown:

I'm starting to fear for the worst

Update:
Now says:

There will be a lag between being offered the scholarship and when you will see it on the Dodmerb page.

If your son is already qualified for the academies, then he is already qualified for ROTC. It will happen automatically and there is nothing that you will need to do.
