No recommendations, but I am not 100% sure on the transcript. I believe it is no for them both. What they look at is PSAT, SAT scores and your class rank.
While I don't think you have to send in your transcript, I sent mine in anyway when I filled out my SLS application because that gives your file some basis of a transcript, even if it is only 5 semesters worth of grades.
The USMA admissions facebook page says that SLS apps will open up AROUND 15 December this year, so start checking the usma website a few days before the 15th to catch it as soon as it opens up.
Do you need to have a candidate ID prior to applying to SLS? The SLS info page says that the questionnaire provides you with such an ID, although the only receipt I received from the questionnaire was a generic one without any new information.
