What does that mean?

If I remember correctly from two years ago, it means you should be getting a thin envelope in the mail that starts something like: "Congratulations" and has words in it to the effect of "guaranteed offer of appointment" in bold face! It means an LOA (the coveted letter of assurance or conditional offer of appointment) is on its way to you. Congratulations! Provided you fulfill the conditions listed on that letter (the ones checked on that letter) you are on your way to USNA Class of 2015!:thumb:

Indeed, congrats! Very good news for which you should give thanks to the Almighty Admiral!

If you're already 3Qed ...scholastically, medically, physically qualified ...it means if/when you've a nomination of any shape or size, you will receive an invite to 2011's Induction Day at the United States Naval Academy.

Enjoy and feel the blessing you've received. And again, congratulations.

Stay healthy, behave well, keep studying, and continue working out. You may be soon receiving a free ticket to the biggest dance of your young life. So practice your foxtrotting~:thumb:

No I haven't, but my BGO called me and told me I was triple qualified. I never got a letter, but according to this forum, sometimes, letters dont always go out, so I'm not really stressing about the 3Q letter too much.

????

If you get an LOA for an appointment and then get a nomination would that give you a higher chance of getting in than someone who didn't get a LOA but got an appointment?

I think an appointment means you ARE in. I don't know how someone can get a higher chance of "getting in" than being in.

If one receives a nomination with LOA in hand, it's a guaranteed offer of appointment. Absent an LOA, even being 3 Qed and nominated, it's not a guarantee ...IF it's not a principal nomination. So, the short, imprecise answer is "yes."

Which question are you answering? How can any combination of LOA/3Q/any nom give someone a "higher chance of getting in" than someone who is already in ("got an appointment")?

I'm guessing Pig didn't read that garbled, nonsensical question correctly!

Maybe navygirl89 didn't read her question very carefully either!
