Would indicating the schools I am already accepted to help in the decision for a scholarship?

As far as I know, no. The application has nowhere to actually indicate accepted to schools. It's usually easier to go the other way i.e. get a PMS to help sway admissions to a school you've already won a scholarship to.

I could be wrong in this, but to the best of my knowledge, there is no real way to indicate to Cadet Command what school(s) have accepted you.

sg1fan93,

Use the acceptance as a reason to make contact with the PMS or ROO at these schools, expecially if any of the schools are an academic 'reach'. Ask your questions then and sell your self. Good Luck.

My son put *Please note; accepted at 'UofA' and 'UofB'
On the bottom of his AROTC app, in the other comments section
(He had a lot of contact with the PMS's and ROO's as well.)

FWIW: He got scholarships at both...

Good idea about including it in the comment section on the application...will pass the idea to DS, he's already accepted at 2 of 3 schools and the last is a local university where he'll be accepted, just hasn't filed the application for admissions. He's really heart set on #1 choice, Ohio U. #2 he likes, but also will qualify for significant academic scholarships in case AROTC is lost to DQ or other factors(ie safe school).

Just a small word of warning:
All formatting is lost in the essay portions of the AROTC app
To see what it will actually look like click the print app at the bottom
(saves as a PDF) its in all caps, no returns etc.

Son used lots of 'spaces' to make it legible.

Is that the case with the additional remarks section too?

yes,

click the bottom link on the app
I think it is either save or print
You will see your app as it will appear on paper

To Gojack

Gojack,
Thanks for telling me about the formatting issue. However, my problem with it goes past it being hard to read, compared to what I actually wrote, entire portions of of the section isn't in the print preview part. It has my first two sentences, then skips 1.5 sentences and picks up in the middle of another one. It does this multiple times to the point that it doesnt make any sense at all. Can anyone help me with this?

sg1fan93, What browser are you using? Since the problem seems specific to your environment, I suggest you use a different browser or even access your application using a different computer to see if that resolves the problem.

I'm using internet explorer. Ill try it at my school and failing that ill go to someones house that has a mac. Think thatll solve it?

Sgn1fan93,

Probaly not. I use IE and I'm pretty sure the Army would make this process work with IE. I actually expected you to say your were using a Mac as Safari often has problems with complex web tasks. I'm assuming you are using IE 8 or IE 9. If not, you should upgrade and see if that helps.
