I just received a nomination for the Naval Academy. I am triple qualified. My question is on average about how long does it take for the Academy to send offers of appointment for your congressional district?

I am in the same boat, but 3 Q/D and nominations doesn't always mean appointment though

Congratulations to you, what an honor!!

Congrats! Sorry, I do not know the answer to your question, but I am in the same boat:)

Members of Congress are not required to submit their nominations to the Academy until January 31. Therefore, the vast majority of appointments will be handed out between the 1st of February until the 15th of April.

Just received a nomination to air force (one from senator and rep) and a nomination to navy (rep)

should I notify the academies of these nominations?

You could always send your admissions counselor an email. When I received my nominations I found out from the academy websites (USAFA and USNA)- so make sure you check there first if you haven't. Congrats on your nominations:shake:

The nominations have to be received officially from the MoC's. You could send it in, but don't expect it to expedite the process.

Very true, but I live in a very competitive district which consistently has 3+ people receive appointments each year.

Just don't raise expectations too high based on that. Last year I was 3qd with 2 noms, in an incredibly competitive district, and was not offered an appointment. Not trying to be rude or anything, I'm just saying... best of luck to you though!

There's lots of factors that go into when offer(s) of appointment go out from any one congressional district. As another poster pointed out, MOC are not required to get their nominations submitted to USNA until the end of January. And, for whatever reason, many of them seem to wait. But, some submit them much earlier. My son received notification Dec 18 a couple of years ago. We began watchng his candidate page and it showed up there on Dec 25. Back to the OP's question:

Ok, not only are the MOC not required to get the noms in til late January, the candidate's applications are open until March 1. Let's say there is a slate of ten nominees from your congressional district. Maybe only seven or eight of those have their applications complete. Maybe USNA likes what they see on those applications thus far and want to wait until all ten are complete before sending out any offers of appointment to that congressional district.

Conversely, maybe USNA sees the candidate they think they will want the most get a nomination and then move forward and offer an appointment. Point here is, there is absolutely no way to know.

Second point, if you want to improve something in your package, it is not too late.

I would err on the conservative and guess that USNA is going to wait to see the completedapplications before they offer appointments from any slate. If a candidate with an incomplete application seems very inadequate, then they might move forward and offer an appointment from a slate without ten complete applications.
