These are just a few questions I have as I'm waiting for the link to apply to SLS to appear on the website. So, first of all, does anyone know when that should happen? Also, where will it be located? And is anyone else waiting up for it to come up, or am I just out of my mind?

No, I'm waiting too! It's only 11 were I live, but I would have guessed they are using Eastern time. My best guess is the page with the video on it. I keep on refreshing it:)

SLS link

I'm going to give it a few minutes more than I have to crash. Snow days here. You can do the candidate questionaire now.

Has anyone been able to access the SLS app yet? I'm not seeing the link.

I don't think its up yet, i dont think they'll put it up till morning too. But I'm not sure. And if you wanna get an idea of what it might look like the Air force app is up so you can look at that. I would assume they're similar, but not sure

So... will it count against me that I was once diagnosed with ADHD? It was a misdiagnosis, and I explained that in the remarks section of the Candidate Questionaire, but do I need a waiver or anything? Also, can I update the information I put in there if, say, I get accepted into NHS?

Well tell the truth im a junior so i dont know much, but in the air force app you didn't have to put anything that had to do with medical, so i wouldn't even bother with that right now.

And yea on the air fore app u can add more info once your done. But if you get rejected i heard after that its just done. Not sure (once again ahah)

But jwillks, what would you do in my position. Apply early (like today) with crap PSAT scores. 61 on math, 53 on CR. OR wait till January to get better SAT scores. What would you do?

not to intrude or anything, but as of now, i would apply anyway. There's nothing that you can do about the PSAT score. and from what i hear, you can update your file cant you?

I think the "apply" link went up about a half hour ago. So, they screen for PSAT, rank, ECA and then screen for workshop choices? It's clear from my choices I'm not a math person!

Seems like it. Odd...no gpa. I wonder when acceptances will begin coming out?do we recieve this info via email?

Your ADHD misdiagnosis will not affect your SLS application, but it will play into your DODMERB qualification once you start the "real" app. I would recommend getting in touch with Mr. Larry Mullen on the DODMERB thread. He is the authority when it comes to anything DODMERB.

You cannot update the SLS application. It is a one-time thing.

The actual USMA application, on the other hand, can be updated. Things like NHS and other awards you recieve can be sent in to update your file. Send in every new award/achievement you get! Anything you send in can push your file into 3Q range or even into LOA territory, but this pertains more to when the rest of the application becomes available this summer.

They do not ask for GPA on the SLS application, only ACT/SAT/PSAT scores and class rank. GPA's these days are inflated to the point that you can't compare peoples' GPA's from different schools. Your school profile and class rank are much more important than your GPA during the application process.

I found out I was accepted to SLS last year by calling admissions about a week and a half after I filled out the SLS application. I recieved a letter via snail mail a few days after that. My MALO also called me about my SLS acceptance a few days after I got the letter in the mail.

How long does it take for the initial questionnaire to be processed. Like I went to apply then it sent me to be put on file so I filled out the initial thing, went back to the SLS page and it says I am still not on file. Does it just take a while or am I having a problem? Thanks

Also does anyone know if USMA allows super-scoreing?

Has anyone gotten a confirmation email yet? I submitted my application earlier this morning but still haven't received one.

My son got his e-mail confirmation on his selected workshops almost immediately after he sent it this morning.

Give it some time :) People have marked their calendars and the site is experiencing pretty substantial traffic today, there are many e-mails to send and I'm pretty sure they have only one server to broadcast their site with as well as send their e-mails. Mine took its time as well.

On usma website it was stated that applicants for SLS would be able to update profile by calling the admissions office.

i completed the workshop page this morning at 6 and they sent me a confirmation right away.
Does anyone know when you will be notified if you have been accepted or not?
Dave

JFM, I think I'd wait, just to be on the safe side. Or maybe, if you could contact your MALO, they could help you out, either by letting you update your application in January (not sure if they can do that or not) or just by giving you advice.

Oh, and to everyone, does anyone know anything about the different workshops? What ones did you rank highest? I put Behavioral Sciences and Leadership (or something like that), but I'm not entirely sure what that is.
