I sent my app to the Citadel away about three weeks ago and everything was good. I have a 3.1 unweighted gpa, two years of a sport, community service, and I got a 21 on the ACT. I got a letter in the mail on Friday from the admissions department asking me to retake the SAT or the ACT. This letter was a punch in the stomach. I was wondering if anybody else got one of these or if it means I have a better chance of being denied or accepted....? Please advise me what to do!

If they are requesting you retake the SAT/ACT again I would sign-up ASAP. They are telling you that those scores are not quite competative with the current class of prospective candidates. You need to improve those score to improve your chances. The key is you did not recieve a rejection letter you recieved polite hint with a way to make yourself more competitive:thumb:

Good Luck!
