Arotc status?

My status for the AROTC has not changed on the website for about 2 months. It says " you have been selected for an interview talk to your local military science officer to schedule an interview." I had my interview and was notjfied that my application was complete aroind 2-3 weeks ago. Will it change? Or does it only change when you receive the scholarship?
 
Board sits next week. Hopefully you will get a letter and status change by the third week in January. Good luck.
 
yup, one of the screwy things about the current online system. There is no status between "get an interview" and "you have a scholarship", so you will be stuck on "get an interfview" until you receive an offer, or the process ends. i raised this issue last year, and I plan to raise the issue again at our ROO conference. The best way to keep informed is to talk to the Battalions you are interested in, and ask them to check your status. We can see if you are board ready or not. Once you are board ready everything is in. The ROO can also confirm or deny that you got an offer once the results of the board are released....can't say it enough...talk to the ROOs.

Okay so talk call the university i wish to attend. I'll call the university where i had my interview. What is an ROO?
 
Recruiting Operations Officer (ROO)

  1. Check your college website, search for Army ROTC
  2. look for a Cadre tab/link
  3. Locate the ROO - it probably says 'recruiting' in his/her title
  4. This is your Army ROTC contact person at your college of choice
  5. He/she is there to answer your questions
  6. Call 'em, introduce yourself, ask questions.
(Think about what you want to say before you call)

My daughter's status changed to indicate that her interview eval was received, about one week after the interview took place. Interview was at the end of August.

My son's says "get and interview" but the PMS and his JROTC Colonel (former board member) both said everything is complete and the next update will be scholarship.

The websites of all three forces leave a hell of a lot to be desired.
 
Lee2015...was that for Army? Just gathering data when I talk to our guy from Cadet Command at the ROO Conference. I've been trying for a couple year now to understand how the site works, and when they are going to fix it. Definitely going to mention that FloridaDad is not impressed:)

I would have thought one system could be used for application, interview and status. A simple status grid should be displayed with all the completed components and anything missing/ incomplete.

Mea culpa, clarksonarmy. I checked my screenshots and the status change was for AFROTC not AROTC. Sorry:redface:

Daughter's status for AROTC did stay the same right up until awarded the scholarship.
 
FloridaDad...that is what I can see...in my list of applicants with one of my schools on their list, I can see "N" or "Y" for interview, PFT, SAT/ACT, and transcripts. Unfortunately what I can see in a system called CCIMS does not translate to the online interview system. For some reason they are two different systems. One would think it would be a simple programming change to fix, but I'm betting two different contractors developed the systems, and integrating them is too expensive/difficult. I plan to continue to complain until someone makes it better. In the meantime CALL YOUR ROO!!!
 
I had the same problem at first, however the only reason it still says you need an interview is because they do not change that until you are notified on if you got a scholarship, i called a few people and this was what i was told. Good luck

Welcome to serviceacademyforums.com, arotc/westpointhopefull!! I expect that you found this thread by doing a search when you initially logged on. However, the best way to find up-to-date information is to navigate to the sub-forum (in this case "ROTC") from the main SAF home page (you can do that for USMA as well).

The problem with posting on an old thread entited "AROTC status" is that folks tend to forget about old threads. There is currently a thread entitled "January, 4, 2011 AROTC Board", which contains the most up-to-date information and can be found here: http://www.serviceacademyforums.com/showthread.php?t=16466. When someone posts on the old "AROTC status" thread, the thread gets moved to the top, so everyone assumes there has been an update on the AROTC board results, only to be dissappointed when they learn that it is actually an old thread.

It's terrific that you did take the time to post, though. You will find that the true value of this website is that everyone is trying to help. That's where your heart was.
