On page 7, in the Instructions for Applicants Offered Admission, it states that "Each cadet candidate will receive a letter of instruction, and a request for information from the West Point DENTAC, mailed from the Department of Admissions. Once your dentist completes the required examination form, and makes new Panorex and Bitewing radiographs, please promptly forward . . ." My question is how far prior to receiving this letter can the xrays be taken? Daughter is scheduled for her dentist appointment next week, so I was going to ask the dentist to do the Panorex and Bitewing radiogrphs now and just have her complete the form when it comes in. But, I wasn't sure if there was a restriction on the time frame.

Thanks!

We personally waited for direction from the Academy. However I don't think its too early. If for some reason the dentist decides that the wisdon teeth should come out it gives you plenty of time. Just one persons opinion

Jake are you sure? I don't see it, but I could be missing something if you wouldn't mind pointing out the page # (its exam week, my brain is a bit fried)

Heh I guess I'll just have my mom look through it cause I apparently can't read right now

I'm with you there Casey. I'm not seeing any dental form! Hmm well, I'll look through it again.

EDIT: Plus, it says that a radiograph-safe envelope will be mailed with the rest of the information, so I'm thinking this is definitely something we will receive through the mail as opposed to it being provided online like the other forms.

Totally agree with you. My son's information doesn't have anything about the dental exam except for what is written on page 7. :thumb:
