I am currently classified as an "AS500" cadet. Last spring semester I entered AFROTC and competed for an EA without success. Since then, I have been doing everything I possibly can to improve my chances...

-I am a enlisted reservist for the Air Force and a full time student
-I obtained 4 letters of recommendation:squadron&group (commanders)/Msgt and a CMsgt(supervisors) and have given them to my Det. Commander.

-98.7% PFA/ 2.8CGPA(the past six semesters I have held an average 3.8GPA).
-Arnold Air Society (2nd semester and Information manager position).
-Det. awards officer since beginning of this semester.
-Attend all ROTC events and participate with great motivation.
-Work another part time job in a restaurant.
-ranked in top 3 last semester of 50 AS200 cadets

Rumors have been going around that packages will be sent out in the next few weeks??? Is there anything at all that anyone could recommend that I could do to better my chance this time?! Thank you!

Confused, you ask about 500, but talk about 200, was there a typo some where along the way?

A 2.8 CGPA, but had 6 semesters of 3.8, begs the question why is it so low after 6 semesters, even if you got 2 semesters of 1.0, you would still be above 3.0. (1.0 basically = all D's).

A 500 should be now looking at graduation, not the EA board.

100=freshman
200= soph
300= jr
400= sr
500 = sr (5 yr program)

Obviously, you must be at least a sr, if you add in the comment of 6 semesters at 3.8, but GPA 2.8.

I think you need to clarify your situation more, because right now there are more questions than answers just from the info you gave...i.e ranked last semester as top 3 of the C200's, but didn't make the cut ly when you were a 200, and yet you are a 500 now.

Best of luck.

I am a senior but am staying to finish rotc. My transfer credits from my 1st university I went to for my freshman year didn't transfer well into my current schools system for some reason. Anyway my cgpa is about a 2.9. I am a 200 cadet.

I think the OP was right calling himself a 500. At our det, 500s were the 200s who did not get EAs during their sophomore year, they come back and try again this year.
