I have been given the chance to take an overnight visit (although I have not recieved an appointment). what items do I need to bring?

1. I go to a Military JuCo and have a formal dress uniform, a school uniform, and PT gear. Should I bring any/all of this, or stick to civilian clothes?

2. Do I need to bring any information, such as application info or Birth certificate, etc.? I know I will need to bring a drivers liscense as ID.

any other information is greatly appreciated

Just stick to civilian clothes (remember to dress warm). You should only need your license. Basically, bring stuff you'd bring if you were spending the night anywhere else: clothes, hygiene products, and something to keep you busy while your escort does homework.

I think it is gracious to take a small thank-you gift to the host cadet. My cadet visited at Easter and took Easter candy (Reese's, fun size M&Ms, Peeps, etc.).

Bring:
Hat, shower sandals, work out clothes, edible thank-you, something to do during evening study period, questions, a good attitude.

so the general consensus is to not bring my uniform stuff? I will probably bring my PT gear because that is all I have here at school. For civvies, suit and jacket, khakis and a polo shirt, jeans?
also, is it pretty common to be offered an overnight without an appointment?
thanks again

Khakis/jeans and a polo shirt would be more than fine from what I saw at my visit, and PTs are perfect for when your escort changes into theirs. Please don't bring your uniform stuff - the plebes that I was with couldn't believe someone we saw had the nerve to wear one.

I don't know if it's super common, but a few others on this forum have mentioned being offered one without an appointment/LOA.
