Mail person just arrived with a large manila envelope. Its looks just like the one DD received last year with an appointment. I hoping for the same and not just more literature.

LadderdaddyO, you've gone through this process 2 years in a row ? Kudos to you! I'm thinking a big Congratulations to your son is in order :thumb:

Well it was the letter he has been waiting for!!!!:jump1::jump1::jump1:Welcome to the Class of 2015 son. Wow I can't believe it. Good luck to everyone waiting.

Wow Ladderdaddy! That is fantastic! Now might be the time to consider buying one of those cute little row houses in DTA - you'll have double the reasons to visit Annapolis now! :thumb:

Way to go Crockett Family - yay for Texas mids!

Congrats to all! WE got our BFE in the mail today and had to explain to the mailman why we were stalking him! He just laughed and congratulated DS! Got the call from Senator two nights ago and the letter today, now it is official!

I got home from college for the weekend today and there was a small envelope here from the Navy... I knew my file wasn't supposed to go before the board until yesterday so it was unlikely that it was a decision, but still I worried it was the dreaded TWE. Opened it to find it was just an outdated letter saying my file is missing something (it isn't anymore, by the way). Phew. My dream will stay alive for at least the next few days.

I think I'll call them on Monday just to make sure my file is indeed complete with them. Other than that, I can't do much but wait for more news from the mailman. At least seeing my favorite team in the super bowl will take my mind off things for a couple hours this weekend.

DS did not get a nom to USNA but I have to say I really enjoy reading about the BFEs arriving in the mail. What a thrill!

When contacting admissions, put yourself in the place of the Regional Director. Remember, they are working people, so everytime you call, you are distracting them from their work. So, if it is a question a BGO can answer, go through them. If you are asking about information that isn't so important and not going to affect your package, then I wouldn't call them; shoot them an email and let them get back to you when it is convenient for them.

If I was an RD and got a call from a significant number of candidates in the region asking about their package going to the board, I probably wouldn't be able to get work done, which can be frustrating.

Therefore, use common sense and good judgment when calling/emailing....if it is important and your BGO can't (or doesn't know how to) answer the question, then place the call/email. Just think you are one of many candidates who are corresponding with the CGO everyday.

My father told me today that there was a "letter" for me at home. When I heard letter rather than package or envelope I was half-expecting the TWE, but to my surprise it was a letter from my MOC congratulating me on getting in! I'm so excited. Not making the final cut last year makes this all the more sweet for me. Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear!
