Kings Point Spotlight - Cookie Cafe

Great Video. Glad they have a bright spot each week.

I am guessing that there isn't a Midshipmen's Pub at Land Hall anymore.

Cookie Cafe vs Pub

We have Cookie Cafe where the pub meets, though we are far ahead of the pub in popularity. Last week we had 429 midshipmen at Cookie Cafe, with lots of laughter, smiles, relaxedness. The Pub doesn't have that many students attending and it doesn't seem to have the same fun atmosphere.

If you notice in the pictures, we put our Cookie Cafe sign over the Pub sign.

I am aware that only seniors can attend the pub, but many seniors attend Cookie Cafe also.

My question is: why is the pub held on a school night????

When I was at KP, the Pub was generally open on weekends. I can't recall if it was also open on week nights. I believe that it was first opened during my second class year. Of course the drinking age back then was 18. I also believe that all classes could partake, except for the Plebes until recognition.

Ahhh, Cookie Cafe.

Nothing brings happiness and low PFA scores quite like an all-you-can-eat buffet of cookies and milk.

Heave ho and cookies

You are funny and can't resist a comment like that. I think you like to tease me.

BUT I will take fresh baked cookies with a glass of cold milk any day over cookies and "heave ho".

Ask the frequent patrons of Cookie Cafe. They are the experts on what really tastes good.

Yeah, but you may get a wee bit more 'relaxedness' with what I like to drink.. cheers!!

Relaxedness??

Deepdraft, first I like to apologize for my Freudian slip. You called your drink "Heave head" and I mistakenly called it "Heave ho". I say Freudian slip because that's what I'd like to do the pub. Now don't get on your high horses, we are just having fun bantering.

Relaxedness???????????????? Deepdraft you owe yourself a visit to Cookie Cafe. They could not be more relaxed if you tried, and that's on milk.

No thanks.. besides I've been lactose intolerant ever since I reached the legal drinking age:wink:

By the way it's 'heave ahead' not 'heave head' or 'heave ho'

乾杯 KAMPAI!!! :beer1:

Something to drink?

Not up on my drinking terms. "Heave ho" is just fine with me.

We also serve besides milk: coffee, tea, lemonade, iced tea, ice water, and occasionally hot mulled cider (non alcoholic of course) Drop by some time.

Well, we have bantered this to death. Thanks for keeping it on a fun level.
