If a cadet is academically disenrolled, what can they to do to return to the USAFA?
If a cadet is academically disenrolled, what can they to do to return to the USAFA?
1. How long ago were they dis-enrolled?
2. How long were they at the academy prior to dis-enrollment?
3, If dis-enrolled for a period of time, did they go back to college and continue taking classes?
4. If classes were taken, how well did they do in them?
There's a lot of variables. Including if there were extenuating circumstances that lead to the individual not doing well academically, and the reason for their dis-enrollment. And with cut backs in appointments, it will become even more difficult to get back in. Not impossible, but you're going to have to show how you benefit the air force by coming back. And depending on how long ago a person was dis-enrolled, the academy may decide to have the individual start the entire 4 years of the academy all over again. Again; there's a lot of questions that need answering first.
You might want to contact admissions and see how they feel about the idea. Did you have exit interviews? Did they encourage you to come back and try again or shake your hand and send you on your way?
