Hey everyone, I've noticed that USMMA is in the process of forming a quidditch team. I was just wondering, is anybody interested in joining? Because I sure am!

Haha no, but you do need to have a broom between your legs at all times. It's played on a football/soccer field. Sounds nerdy, but I played it for the first time last month, and I had a blast!

I hope you are kidding. A synchronized swimming team would garner more respect.

Maybe it could be added to the Superintendent's Trophy competition. Oh wait, no self-respecting Coast Guard cadet would run around with a broom between their legs, playing soccer with their hands. And why not start calling Third Company Hufflepuff?

Everyone I have heard from that has played it has said it was surprisingly fun. Take away the brooms between your legs and it might be fun and I did hear that you have to be in good shape to play it especially if you are the snitch because if a game lasts 20 mins then you are constantly being chased by people that entire 20 mins. The things we do when we are bored...

Wow, is everybody at the CGA as much of a girly man as you are?

Excuse me, my dearest Coastie... but 3rd Company would clearly be Griffindor. Home of heroes, house of Champions.

Bombero, If it turns legit, it'll just be another sport that KP can crush Coast Guard in.

Sorry I'm old fashioned give me a 12 pack and a good game of Full Contact Ultimate Frisbee any day over a sport where Middlebury and Vassar are currently the "power houses."

Have fun though and stay safe up there in the cold, snowy confines of Long Island folks.

@jasperdog

Real people play "Full Contact Ultimate Frisbee" with a prolate spheroid made of leather. This practice is called "Football."
